I'm a physician, and certified executive professional coach; I bring a unique blend of medical expertise and coaching skills. My background includes comprehensive ophthalmology, specializing in cataract and refractive surgery.
I attended the University of Michigan’s Honors Program in Philosophy and Cellular & Molecular Biology. During my medical education at the University of Michigan Medical School, I transitioned from an MD-PhD candidate to a Howard Hughes Research Scholar, spending a year at NIH conducting research. The residency followed in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia. I am a Clinical Associate Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology. Today's professionals, including physicians, are navigating a challenging landscape.
As a woman physician, I intimately understand the juggling act required to balance home responsibilities, raising three children, and a demanding professional life that spans clinic work, hospital duties, surgeries, and on-call shifts. I recognize that amidst these demands, it can be difficult for physicians to find the time for self-reflection and personal growth.
I wrote the book Happy Successful You to empower readers to make intentional choices and create purposeful and meaningful lives within philosophical frameworks.
Happy Successful You won the Gold Medal Award in the category of Business—Women & Business in the 2024 Global Book Award.
